New Works by Jon Beacham will be on view in the gallery space at The Brother In Elysium Books this Summer. The show consists of works on paper using the forms of collage, letterpress, color photography and 16mm film. Building on previous work, and publications such as A Measure of Silence & 25 East 217th Street, these new pieces further a synthesis between found images, photographs taken by the artist, text and the reuse of images from Beacham’s cosmology of vision. On view in the artist’s own bookstore, the show is placed in a context close to home. The work speaks through and with a lineage of paper, publications, small presses and time.
