Letterpress Services
The Brother In Elysium offers letterpress and design services to clients interested in fine crafted printing. The studio utilizes the traditional tools of letterpress printing, specifically, hand set metal type from a large collection of classic and rare typefaces. This practice of designing with type is a strong focus. The studio houses large runs of original foundry and Monotype faces including Sabon, Aldus, Palatino, Optima, Michelangelo, Neuzeit-Grotesk, Univers, Walbaum, Centaur, and Dante. The studio also works directly with designers, and is capable of handling print-ready artwork from digital files as well.
The press welcomes custom print jobs including: publications and book design, poetry broadsides, ephemera, announcements, cards, and artist-commissioned work. Interested clients may contact the studio to discuss projects.
