I recently had the pleasure to work on this new edition of artwork by Herbert Pfostl titled Schrift-Landschaften, published by Epidote Press. The drawings are composed of a single text-fragment, written in Pfostl’s distinctly small script, and inscribed upon a page from a nautical traverse table. The edition consists of nine works laid into a custom made enclosure, which includes an essay by filmmaker David Gatten putting the work in context. Published in an edition of 200 copies, available for sale here.
