lettre to cleveland

d.a. levy
1967

From levy’s book Kibbutz in the Sky, Book 5.
One of levy’s last long poems written to the city of Cleveland, the place he lived and worked throughout his brief life. The city he tirelessly promoted in his own writing and through his publishing efforts of many poets working within an underground scene stranded in the American midwest. The city that went after him on obscenity charges and other nonsense during a highly repressive moment in United States history.
